Lost Planet

I created this piece in high school, during a time when everything around me felt foreign, like I had landed on a strange new planet. This was one of the first moments I used art to explore who I was becoming. The figure in the space suit is a version of myself, caught between curiosity and fear, standing at the edge of an unknown world.The landscape is intentionally surreal, fractured, mechanical, and mysterious. It mirrors how I felt navigating new environments, relationships, and expectations. The cables, turbines, and crumbling bridges reflect how disconnected and tangled things felt. But the light emerging from the darkness, the path winding up the mountain, the distant spacecraft, all of it speaks to possibility too.This drawing is more than a sci-fi scene. It’s a personal map of transition. A self-portrait of discovery. It marks the first time I realized that feeling alien wasn’t a weakness, it was the beginning of finding my own direction.
