Plastic Tragedy

Plastic Tragedy is a series of visual artworks depicting birds with vibrant, colorful plumage trapped inside plastic bags filled with water, as if they were aquarium fish. This surreal contradiction is at the heart of the project: a scene that is as beautiful as it is disturbing. The work denounces the devastating impact of plastic on the environment—especially on wildlife—through images designed to both unsettle and captivate. The aesthetic is inspired by traditional oil painting, with textures, lighting, and color palettes that evoke classical art. Yet every piece is created entirely through digital means, blending computer-generated techniques with a painterly sensibility. Plastic Tragedy is both a warning and a visual paradox: what first appears to be beautiful reveals, upon closer look, a deeply human tragedy.
